Introducing:
The MAXIEM Waterjet Product Line
Starting at $99,900.00

OMAX is a leading provider of precision-engineered, computer-controlled, two-axis abrasivejet systems for use in the general machine shop environment. Our founders, Dr. John Cheung and Dr. John Olsen, saw even greater potential in applications using abrasivejets in the average machine shop, if programming the fluidjet's behavior could be made simple. To that end, OMAX developed a patented easy-to-use "Compute First – Move Later" expert system and built it into the JetMachining Center's controller. Dr. Olsen was also instrumental in the development of the more efficient crankshaft high-pressure water pump.

Typical users of our equipment include:
> Manufacturers
> Job Shops
> Wire EDM Shops
> Laser Shops
> Aerospace Shops
> Tooling Shops
> Prototype and R&D Shops
> Maintenance & Repair Shops
> Metal Fabricators
> Architectural Fabricators
> Abrasivejet Only Shops

The OMAX JetMachining® Centers are sold through a well-established and growing network of distributors. Each distributor has already been successful in sales and service of conventional machine tools and is carefully selected for the ability to provide superior customer service before, during, and after the sale. In addition, OMAX Service Technicians are available for expert installation, training, maintenance, and repair assistance.

OMAX is the leading provider of precision abrasivejet machining systems in the general machine shop environment. We have over 600 abrasivejet systems installed in many countries.

OMAX is committed to maintaining our technology lead through product development. OMAX has made a substantial investment in engineering and research to remain the leader in precision abrasivejet machining equipment. Our successes include revolutionizing the abrasivejet industry with the first patented PC-based controller for abrasivejet machining, the most precise X-Y table, and the easiest to maintain direct drive pump technology. The OMAX Research and Development Team includes senior scientists and engineers that have been crucial in the development of both pump and related high pressure technology products.

OMAX Model FABRICATOR
Large format abrasive waterjet cutting for stone or metal fabrication shops at a price you can afford. Standard stone slab or plate sizes can be cut directly from a CAD drawing or .DXF file. Extremely hard, reflective and nonconductive materials can be cut, making it a valuable addition to existing shop capabilities. No tool changes or complex fixturing requirements dramatically reduces setup times and the smooth finish often eliminates the need for secondary machining.

Standard Features
> X-Y table with Motorized Z-Axis.
> Rapid water level control for submerged cutting
> Single OMAX MAXJET® 5 Nozzle Assembly including all necessary high-pressure plumbing.
> OMAX patented motion control system incorporating Windows® XP software.
> 600 lb. abrasive hopper.
> Black anodized aluminum covers for X-Axis components.
> Ultra-high pressure direct drive pump.
> Table cutting length expandable by two meter increments.
> Traction drive coupled with position feedback from a linear scale results in high precision.

Abrasivejet Benefits
> Machines a wide range of materials and thicknesses.
> Does not create heat affected zones or mechanical stresses.
> Rapid setup, no tool changes are required.
> Minimal fixturing required.
> Leaves behind a satin smooth edge thus reducing secondary operations.
> No noxious gases, liquids or oils are used in (or caused by) the machining process.
> Completes most work below 80 dBA for submerged cutting

STARTING AT $99,900.00

The MAXIEM is an abrasive waterjet cutting system with an X-Y table containing Intelli-TRAX™ traction drive technology and a Motorized Z-Axis. The proven high-pressure direct drive pump technology (50,000 psi) is available in 20 and 30 horsepower options.

All MAXIEM waterjets feature Intelli-MAX® Basic, a control containing the core functionality of OMAX’s critically acclaimed software. Currently, we will offer the following table size: MAXIEM 1530 at 5 feet x 10 feet (1.5 meters x 3.0 meters). In the near future we will offer the MAXIEM 1515 at 5 feet x 5 feet (1.5 meters x 1.5 meters) and the MAXIEM 2040 at 6 feet x 12 feet (2.0 meters x 4.0 meters).

"Through years of marketing the OMAX line of JetMachining® Centers, we recognized the strong demand for a line of basic abrasive waterjet equipment," said Dr. John Cheung, CEO of OMAX. "With the new MAXIEM line, we meet this demand, as well as the varying performance needs required by the global community.
